The blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) can be easily identified by the black tips on its fins! If you want to see these cuties in the wild, they prefer shallow, inshore waters within tropical coral reefs of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Sadly this species is experiencing a population decline and is listed as Near Threatened.
