Axolotl enamel pin

For this pin we went with the leucistic coloration—because pink! But in reality, these cuties are a dark brown/olive color to hide amongst the rocks in their natural habitat!
Axolotls (Ambystoma mexicanum) are critically endangered aquatic salamanders native only to the Lake Xochimilco basin near Mexico City. Water pollution, habitat loss and invasive species have pushed them to the edge of extinction. We hope when you display this pin you share their story 💙
